GreyCarmenere2021–Ventisquero

Ventisquero is one of the best producers in Chile and has one of the most modern wineries in the world. The Grey collection was made with the assistance of well-knownChileanand foreign wine makers. The GreyCarmenerewine comes from the Maipo Valley. The grapes are harvested by hand and originate from a single vineyard called Trinidad. The grapes are then subject to meticulous selection with exceptional care under the direct management of winemaker, Felipe Tosso. This vintage was made in a cool year with mild temperatures. The grapes are then slowly ripened, which allows even development leading to wines of great elegance. This wine was aged for 18 months in French barrels, of which 34% are new. The wine displays a bouquet of red and black fruits with spices supported by a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine shows a structure and silkiness with firm, yet smooth tannins. The finish is fresh and lingering. This wine will be perfect with grilled or roasted red meat.
