A rich and creamy Chardonnay with a refreshing finish

Aromas of fresh pineapple, baked apple, and pear define this vibrant Chardonnay. The first taste is rich and creamy, with a refreshing acidity that carries bright flavours of citrus and tropical fruit.

• The wine was fermented and matured for 317 days in 35% new, 40% 2nd, 11% 3rd and 14% 4th fill French oak barrels.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Groot Constantia is testimony of Simon van der Stel ’s love for wine who established South Africa’s first wine farm in 1685. Compelling evidence of the success of South Africa’s oldest wine being Emperors and Kings such as Frederick the Great of Prussia and Louis Phillipe (King of France) buying ‘Constantia Wyn’ at auctions across Europe. It is now one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions.
