In the valley of the same name, Domäne Wachau, run by Roman Horvath MW and Heinz Frischengruber, produces wines from small, steep plots along the Danube, cultivated by hand by the winegrowing families who own them. Many of these world-famous plots produce wines of great tension and elegance. Grüner Veltliner is the kinggrape varietyof this superb Austrian wine region. Delicate and taut, this 100% Grüner Veltliner is versatile as an aperitif or at the table, as it can be enjoyed in an ice bucket as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to salads, white fish or sushi.
