Pinot Grigio gets a bad rap for being simple — but when you lean into the grape’s real depth, it quietly becomes Pinot Gris. That shift gives the winemaker more room to play, and Hugh Hamilton absolutely do: slightly later picking, solids ferment and a touch of barrel fermentation all feature in this “tricked-up” Trickster. As enjoyable as ever, just with more going on.

The fruit comes from a steep hillside block where ripeness changes from bottom to top — giving the wine the best of both worlds: great acidity and real flavour.
