Imperial is one of the great names inSpanishwinemaking. A true Rioja classic, it was first produced in the 1920s. It is only produced in vintages considered excellent by the estate. The Gran Reserva is distinguished by its power and elegance.The tannins are very fine and the wine is long and tasty. It has notes of wild berries, chocolate, caramel and roasted coffee, all of which are representative of the terroir in which the Rioja Alta vineyards are located.
