Janusâ€?024–Vignobledel’Ecu

Janus 2024 from Domaine de l’Ecu is a natural white wine in biodynamics, produced by Claire and Fred Niger at their estate in Muscadet, Loire.

100% Chardonnay. Grapes from a parcel growing on an orthogneiss subsoil, certified organic since 1975 and biodynamic by Demeter since 1998. The grapes are 100% collected by hand, the reception of the harvest is done by gravity, thus without the use of pumps, pneumatic pressing, no clarification and 100% indigenous yeasts. Maturation in concrete vats for 12 months. No fining, no filtration, just a pinch of sulphur, bottled at the estate under the right moon, according to the biodynamic calendar.
