This understated wine region (Valencia) is home to some of the most exciting and modern wines in the whole of Spain. These wines seem to have one thing in common: a relaxed and refreshing air. The blend of Spain’s most famous red grape, Tempranillo, and the ‘Rhône’ pair of Garnacha (Grenache in France) and Syrah make this a wine with warmth and richness on display.

  • Juan de Juanes will pair up with all sorts, but especially well with dishes led by spicy chorizo.
  • The climate in Valencia is fairly extreme with hot summers and cold winters, perfectly suited to the production of richly fruited reds.
