Sans Kilchoman’s first ever core range batch strength release is drawn from a combination of re-charred red wine casks married with Oloroso Sherry butts and Bourbon barrels. The result is a colossal dram combining thenatural peat smokeandcitrus characterof Kilchoman withdark fruits,rich spicesandsweet caramel. Technically it’s not cask strength but it’s not far off. A few drops of distillery spring water were added to bring the ABV down to 57% before bottling without chill filtration.
