L’Huisserie 2022 is one of Domaine Philippe Alliet’s most iconic vintages, precisely expressing the power and depth of Cabernet Franc on the clay-limestone slopes of Cravant-les-Coteaux. Eighteen months of ageing in oak barrels, 10% of which are new, brings vibrant black fruit aromas such as blackberry and blackcurrant to the nose, mingled with notes of violet and light spices. On the palate, the wine is dense, structured by fine but tight tannins, still young, a sign of superb ageing potential. The finish is long, straightforward and mineral, revealing all the elegance and rigour of Alliet’s work. A serious, precise and deep Chinon, combining intensity and freshness with rare mastery.
