La Montagne du Scarabée 2023 is a natural white wine produced by Jérôme Francois and Morgane Stoquert of domaine La Grange de l’Oncle Charles in Alsace.

A 50/50 blend of Riesling and Pinot Gris from biodynamically farmed vines planted in 1982, on parcels with granite and clay soils. Hand-harvested, with low yields. Natural vinification: direct pressing, transferred into barrels for fermentation and 12 months of ageing on full lees, in barrels of several wines. Bottled at the Domaine on September 29th, 2024, without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur at pressing.
