Rich & Full-Bodied Shiraz from the Barossa Valley

Deep crimson in colour with purple hues. On the nose, rich aromas of blueberry, mulberry, satsumas, chocolate and sweet spices. On the palate it is concentrated and full-bodied with soft, velvety tannins. The rich, sweet profile continues to shine through with blackberry, mocha, mint and vanilla wrapped up in a long savoury finish.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The original settlement of Langmeil could barely be called a village when German immigrant Christian Auricht first planted the vineyard in 1843. Famously, some of the original Shiraz vines he used are still in production under the wineries “Freedom 1843” labelled bottling. This wine is from a strip of land in the heart of the region called the “Valley Floor”. The grapes are selected from premium sites across the valley. It can be considered as a true taste of the Barossa.
