STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

La Rioja Alta is one of the great names of Rioja, with over 125 years history in winemaking. Vina Alberdi was a wine name/brand created in 1974 to replace the old “Tercer Ano” , named after Nicolás Alberdi who was president of La Rioja from 1947 -1952. Its a proper representation of the quality and terroir offered by Rioja Alta (a sub-region of Rioja). Differentiated from other Rioja zones such as Alavesa or Orienta by its freshness and slightly higher levels of acidty and taset clarity.
