La Salvacion perfectly describes the desire to rework the Godello grapes, forgotten in the vineyards in favour of Mencía. La Salvación 2021 comes from a single parcel in Arganza, a cooler commune in the north of the region. The vineyard, which is around 110 years old, is the largest of the former Godello vineyards in Bierzo. This 100% Godello is expressive, with an explosive nose. It was fermented in 500-litre oak casks, where it matured with its lees until the next harvest. A sommelier’s wine produced in just 1800 bottles, it would be a shame not to discover it!
