César Márquez, Raúl Pérez’s nephew, cultivates his vines on two plots in Valtuille de Abajo, El Llano and El Foco, on clay soil with a high sand content, producing fine, subtle wines. Las Firmas Del Valtuille 2023 is open and elegant, with restrained maturity and great freshness. It is a blend of Mencía and Alicante Bouschet with a touch of white grapes aged exclusively in 500-litre oak barrels. Chemistry is banned from the vineyards and the cellar, and simplicity is the order of the day for this very limited production of 530 bottles.
