La Xara is a red Grenache from the Gastón parcel, a vineyard planted on clay, limestone and granite soil. This is the last parcel of Grenache to be bottled by the estate, for greater typicity, while retaining maximum freshness and fluidity. Aged for seven months in French oak barrels without filtering or clarification, the wine is subtle and fragrant on the nose, with intense floral and red fruit notes. On the palate, it’s tasty, fresh and intense, with a wide variety of nuances. It’s austere and serious, with a reticent nose, restrained ripeness and a lively, mineral mouthfeel.
