TheOrganicrange has made a remarkable entry into wine cellars and fine dining establishments, where young sommeliers adore it. It is complemented by a few purchases of old casks from neighbours and friends, which Jean Pasquet (son of Jean-Luc Pasquet) transforms into collectible Cognacs after several months of work, in a selection simply called Trésors de Famille (Family Treasures). Jean-Pierre’s Cognac is a new rare gem. It has a very nice rancio, accompanied by notes of raisins, beeswax and citrus fruits that tie the whole together. The tasting is supple and very round for the degree. The notes of currants return, while the citrus fruits, particularly blood orange, add a lot of freshness. This cuvée offers a remarkable finish, revealing spicy and peppery notes. A real treasure!
