Lehia – “Challengeâ€?in Basque – is a rare wine, produced only in exceptional vintages. Its bright golden yellow colour heralds a wine with great personality. On the nose, Lehia seduces with its intense aromatic complexity: ripe white fruits, exotic fragrances, delicate floral touches and spicy notes, supported by brioche nuances and finely integrated woodiness. On the palate, the structure is round and opulent, perfectly framed by intense, sapid freshness. The sensory expression is contrasting and elegant, revealing a rare balance between richness and finesse. Produced from vines with an average age of 30 years, facing south/ south-weston a terroir of red sandstone, ophite and limestone, Lehia is the result of meticulous vinification: skin maceration, gentle pressing and fermentation in barrels, 40% of which are new.
