This Chinon Rouge 2022 is a selection of the best plots located in the Veron area. A superior cru, characterized by its south-facing limestone and clay terroir. The straightforward, full-bodied palate, with its mellow graphite tannins, is typical of the expression of this very sunny, concentrated cuvée. It has excellent ageing potential, enhanced by a year’s ageing in barrels, 15% of which is new. An ideal Chinon to accompany local cuisine. For the more seasoned, a leg of lamb or Peking duck will be a good match.
