In 1961, Louis Rapin, Nathalie Despagne’s maternal grandfather and owner of Château La Tour Figeac (aSaint-Émilion Grand CruClassé), bought his neighbour’s estate in the Pomerol appellation. He grouped other plots of land around this small estate and renamed it Château La Rose Figeac. The vineyards of La Rose Figeac are located in the south-east of the appellation and cover 4.56 hectares. They have been farmed organically since 2009. They are made up of nine plots less than 500 metres apart. Temps de La Rose Figeac is easy to enjoy. It’s all about finesse. You’ll immediately notice beautiful fruit, silky tannins and a fairly rich structure, just what the vintage wants. It also has good acidity, which adds freshness on the palate and suggests that it will keep well over time.
