The Liberty Road Chardonnay celebrates the pioneering spirit of American winemaking. During a buying trip to California our Head of Buying, Sophie Lord, discovered the talented Heather Nenow, a winemaker who captures the true essence of Lodi’s vineyards. Sophie immediately recognised the potential in Heather’s Chardonnay, but the journey didn’t end there. They teamed up with California winemaking legend David Akiyoshi â€?whose philosophy stems directly from Robert Mondavi himself â€?and, together, they crafted this exceptional Chardonnay from different parcels of Heather’s Lodi grapes and special cellar parcels. With rich flavours of ripe peach, banana and butterscotch, with a touch of toasty oak, this wine is perfect for those who embrace life’s journey, one glass at a time.
