Wine storage cabinets provide conditions similar to those of a wine cellar. The temperature in these appliances remains constant throughout the cabinet’s interior and can be set between +5°C and +20°C, as required. Thus, wine storage cabinets provide the most suitable conditions for long-term storage and ageing. Furthermore, depending on the temperature setting, these appliances can store larger wine stocks at the perfect serving temperature. Door alarm – The audible door alarm alerts the user if the door has been open for longer than 60 seconds, providing safe protection for the food.

Child lock – The child lock prevents the appliance from being inadvertently switched off. A symbol in the MagicEye indicates when the child lock is switched on.

Activated charcoal filter – Environmental odours can affect wines stored for extended periods. In the wine fridge, perfect air quality is ensured by an easily replaceable FreshAir activated charcoal filter.

Low-vibration storage – Even slight vibrations can disrupt wine maturation and prevent tannins from settling. Specially developed, exceptionally low-vibration compressors in all wine fridges ensure wine is stored optimally.

Ideal humidity – Maintaining proper humidity is an important aspect of wine storage. In this way, corks remain supple and do not dry out. Wine should be stored horizontally to keep the corks moist from the inside. With over 50% humidity, wine fridges guarantee the perfect conditions. The humidity in wine storage fridges can be controlled as required by pressing the ventilation button.

Energy Changes Explained…

As a result of the development of more energy-efficient appliances, nearly all large domestic appliances are at the top of the energy label scale, clustered between A++ and A+++. Therefore, the EU energy label scale will be adjusted to reintroduce the simpler A to G scale, with no pluses, making it easier for consumers to compare products.

The rescaling means that products currently in the A+++ energy class will be D and E under the new structure. However, this does NOT mean they are less energy efficient; many of Liebherr’s changes mean that the products you will see as D or E use less energy than a current A+++ product.
