Los Tres Curas Merlot is made from grapes grown in the Central Valley in Chile which is characterised by a temperate Mediterranean climate with a marked daily temperature range and the soils vary from sand to clay. The conditions produce high quality fruit and the wine has intense aromas of red fruits, cherries and plums with some light oaky notes of vanilla and toffee. On the palate it is deliciously fruity with rounded tannins and a long finish.

The Los Tres Curas Merlot from the Central Valley in Chile is made by Vistamar, a well established producer based in the Rapel Valley 122 km south of Santiago. Their mission is to make quality wines that are expressions of the region and the grape variety. It is a highly technical operation but retains the ability to produce individual stylish wines that require much attention in oak barrels during fermentation and aging as well as high volume production in stainless steel tanks. Irena Paiva, the buying director, states that in developing their wines, the most important thing is to show the essence of Chile. To understand each valley with the characteristics of its climate and soils, which is part of the terroir of each variety.
