Some 90 years since it was founded, Mouton Cadet is celebrating with this 2023 vintage. The maison’s bold, impertinent and visionary spirit that has been guided by its passion for wine, supported by three generations of the Rothschild family. Mouton Cadet 2023 is beautiful on the eye with a purple-red colour with deep purple reflections. The initial nose is very intense, expressing red and black fruits, followed up by delicate hints of sweet spice. The attack is full-bodied, meaty, deploying waves of ripe red fruit (sour cherry and raspberry), while the middle of the palate is warm and enveloping, giving delicate aromas of dark fruit. The tasting reaches the finish with a creaminess, punctuated with subtle fresh spices. A modern, almost universal, wine offering an aromatic experience while creating an ambiance of sharing and enjoyment.
