Marietta Cellarsâ€?Old Vine Riesling is sourced from one of the oldest Riesling plantings in the United States, originally planted in 1965. Originally intended as a surprise gift for winemaker Scot Bilbro’s German mother, it quickly became a family favourite, so much so they elected to make it a permanent part of the portfolio. Wonderfully balancing tropical and citrus flavours with accents of jasmine and minerality of an ocean breeze, the long finish is a perfect counterpoint to the tart, lip-smacking acidity. Completely dry and a great foil for food, particularly anything with a shell.
