Malbec is one of the trendiest red grape varieties in Ireland at the moment, so the O’Briens Wine Team have put this exciting case together to showcase the different styles and regions of this versatile grape variety. The grape originated in the southwest of France, around the regions of Bordeaux and Cahors, but is now widely planted around the world, most famously in the Mendoza region of Argentina. It is a heat-loving, thick-skinned grape that takes well to being aged in oak barrels.
