Massetino2017–Masseto

Massetino is a wine of great finesse and complexity, a credit to the expertise of the Masseto estate. Incredibly velvety, with fine, silky tannins that coat the palate while offering a solid structure. The fruit is vibrant and expressive, with flavours of black fruit and candied fruit, accompanied by a touch of spice and light oak from the oak ageing. There’s plenty of freshness, which helps to maintain a fine balance despite the wine’s richness. The wine is impressively long on the palate, with a lingering finish that reveals hints of vanilla, coffee and a touch of damp earth, typical of the Bolgheri terroir.
