Masseto2021–Masseto

As has been the case throughout Tuscany, this vintage of Masseto is the product of a cool year with a good amount of rain in August. It is a blend of all the key vineyard parcels, minus the replanted young vines. This is the first vintage made in the estate’s new winery, which is equipped with concrete fermenters that allow for greater extraction flexibility. The wine was aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. The wine reveals black fruit on the nose with cherry and blackberry slowly melting into spice, leather, chocolate and sweet tobacco. The wine shows generous extraction and concentration; however, it remains light and airy. A sublime Masseto!
