STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Matsu Winery, located in Spain’s Toro region, blends tradition and modernity. Its name means “wait” in Japanese, reflecting patience in winemaking. Matsu is known for organic, biodynamic practices and powerful wines from old-vine Tempranillo, locally called Tinta de Toro. Their striking labels feature portraits of three generations – El Pícaro, El Recio, and El Viejo – symbolizing youthful energy, maturity, and wisdom.
