In the Hautes-Corbières, a mountainous region of the Languedoc found between Narbonne and Perpignan, Maxime Magnon found a treasure: ancient vineyard parcels in steep, rocky soils destined to be abandoned, as local farmers were unwilling to break their backs for tiny yields of grapes that would inevitably get lost in the town co-op’s blend. Today, Campagnès is his greatest red, a century-old field Carignan that is fermented whole-cluster and bottled unfiltered.

94/100 �100 year old Carignan on clay and limestone soils. Fine, fresh and linear with red cherry and raspberry fruit with lovely structure and balance. This is quite stony, with almost perfect balance. �Dr. Jamie Goode, WineAnorak
