In the Hautes-Corbières, a mountainous region of the Languedoc found between Narbonne and Perpignan, Maxime Magnon found a treasure: ancient vineyard parcels in steep, rocky soils destined to be abandoned thanks to the creeping influence of co-ops. Since taking control of these rustic, old vine parcels in the early-2000s, Maxime has helped rehabilitate the image of the Corbières, working with his century-old vines to craft perfumed, alluring wines from local varieties. Rozeta is a blend of 35% Carignan, 30% Cinsault, and 35% Grenache, which practically sings with notes of strawberry, spices, and garrigue. Drinking beautifully now but capable of ageing for up to 10 years, Rozeta is a superb wine that perfectly encapsulates the diligent work and faultless winemaking of Maxime.
