Lemon peel, almond, mint and white flowers are some of the many aromas and flavors that emerge from this finely sketched, vibrant Chardonnay. 17/20 �Pale lemon yellow. Almost Chablis-like nose �very racy and refreshing indeed with the lightest of lees influence. Masses of acidity and a juicy, bone dry finish. This is lightyears from the old popcorn-rich California Chardonnay stereotype. Very clean, fresh and appetising with the lightest undertow that reminds us it was aged in oak rather than stainless steel. Very competent. 93/100 �Bright but forward aromas of pie crust, French toast and ripe lemon peel give way to a chiselled, clean palate of green apple and wet slate. Unwinds and integrates after time in the glass, straddling a punchy, rich, classic California Chardonnay texture with a breezy, saline lift.
