A soft, rounded and fruity red from long established vineyards in the foothills between the Ardeche and La Baume rivers. Deep coloured with a bouquet of ripe cherry fruit, this is a very approachable wine with the emphasis on ripeness and “crunchyâ€?fruit with excellent balance.

Les Vignerons Ardechois is a union of twenty small cooperatives with its headquarters in the town of Ruoms, situated on the river Ardeche, in the foothills of the Cevennes mountains, about 70km. east-south-east of Montelimar. Always an excellent source for red wines, the Vignerons Ardechois are now making some quite delicious whites and rose.

Luc Tallaron, their dynamic wine-maker has made a lovely red (60% Merlot 40% Syrah) which is vinified in separately to extract ripe fruit and deep colours whilst avoiding the extraction of dry tannins.
