An emblematicgrape varietyof theSavoyvineyards, Mondeuse has all the makings of a great wine, and this is no longer a secret. This exclusive cuvée (only 2,000 bottles produced per year) is aged for over 18 months in barrels (65%) and amphorae (35%), as the Romans did 2,000 years ago. Amphorae have the advantage of being completely impermeable while allowing the wine to breathe. It is an ideal container for Mondeuse as it rounds out the tannins while retaining freshness and fruitiness. Sensual with notes of cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry, this wine can be enjoyed with sumptuous dishes in sauce such as coq au vin, pot-au-feu or beef bourguignon.
