Tasting Note

A delightful white wine from the south of France. It is enticingly aromatic and has a lovely floral aroma with hints of apricot and peach. The palate is smooth and rich yet refreshingly dry, with a touch of minerality and a lingering finish.

Viognier grapes are harvested from the cool, coastal vineyards around the Etang de Thau, considered the second largest lake in France. It is here some of the most distinctive Viognier is grown and crafted to display purity of fruit and a distinctive ‘goût de terroir’.

Viognier produces its aromas at a certain stage of maturation. The winemaking team taste the grapes in August, to choose the right day to harvest. Post-harvest the grapes undergo a short skin-contact maceration. Then, the juice, after a delicate pressing and meticulous off-settling, ferments at low temperature.
