The Corcelette climat is one of the greatest terroirs in Morgon: decomposed granite soils, rich in sand, which produce wines with elegant tension and fruit of great purity. Under the hand of Jean Foillard, a leading figure in natural Beaujolais, this lieu-dit produces a 2023 vintage of exemplary freshness, vibrant with energy and precision. The vinification, using traditional carbonic maceration, is carried out gently, with indigenous yeasts and very little sulphur. The result is a pure, juicy and deeply noble wine, faithful to the Foillard philosophy â€?“slipperyâ€? refined wines that exude life. The nose opens with bright aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry, violet and sweet pepper, with a hint of warm stone and very discreet kirsch. On the palate, it is enchanting: supple texture, ultra-fine tannins, juicy fruit but never candied. The mineral, long and delicately floral finish confirms the style: an airy, chiselled Morgon of disarming beauty. Already splendid today, it will gain depth over 6 to 12 years.
