This Muscat de Rivesaltes is an exceptional sweet wine, produced from terroirs ideally located at the crossroads of the Agly terraces, straddling the villages of Rivesaltes and Salses-le-Château. The wine has benefited from long ageing in casks, allowing it to evolve in an oxidative environment without the aromas of the wood masking the brightness of the fruit. The colour is coppery with golden highlights. The nose is very expressive with notes of marmalade, walnuts, salted butter caramel and candied orange peel. On the palate, it is a smooth wine with a lovely fresh structure that balances the sweetness. Serve as an aperitif, with a cheese platter, foie gras, crème brûlée or caramelised apple crumble.
