This Orange Gold vintage pays homage to the first orange wines from Georgia 4,500 years ago. Gérard Bertrand’s intention for this wine was to create a new profile for these super fresh, orange wines. White grapes are made into wine and fermented in whole bunches, just as forred wines . This maceration with stalks and skins produces a remarkable orange colour with golden highlights and a very distinctive tannic range. This wine has a great freshness, gentle tannins and a subtle acidity. On the nose, there’s an explosion of white flower, candied fruit and white pepper notes. And on the palate, it has a very satisfying aromatic freshness and crisp flavours with a good balance along with a structure that gives it body and spirit. Mellow and delicate, its texture envelops the palate. It has a lingering finish. This charismatic wine will pair well with a shared cheese board or with Asian cuisine.
