Outside Burgundy, the famous Pinot Noirgrape varietyhas been registered for over 200 years in the Hautes Pyrénées department (ChâteauMontus ). “The first re-planting of Pinot Noir in theSouth Westof France was carried out by AlainBrumontin 1996. It took 10 years of vinification and testing to find a style that Alain Brumont demanded: the Pinot Noir of Château Bouscassé. It is a Pinot Noir from theSouth-Westof France, with its own character and a very fine texture. We find the characteristics of the grape variety: aromas of cherry, Morello cherry, and small red fruits. On the palate, the structure is elegant, well constructed, a wine with character and a beautiful identity of the terroir of Château Bouscassé. This Pinot Noir from the South-West of France goes well with trout or veal with orange zest for example!
