The wine is lightly oaked and has a lovely concentration of fruit and a vibrant freshness. Pietra Rossa is Italian for red stone, which references the rocky, iron oxide-rich soils from which the fruit for this wine comes.

The palate is rich and layered with plum, cherry, earthy tones ,and subtle liquorice, as well as chalky tannins. The Sangiovese can be enjoyed immediately or cellared until 2030.
