Sans Pol Roger’s zero dosage Champagne offers up a buoyant mousse which slowly dissipates to reveal a pale straw coloured base with pale gold tinged edges that has a very fine and persistent bead flowing through it. Elevated aromas of yeast lees and brioche are complimented by cashew, citrus and delicate honeyed toast like notes. Very dry and sculptured yet possessing a creamy edge, baked bread, yeast lees and cashew flavours overlay a chalk tinged back drop of citrus and oily toast like characters. Crisp acidity. Finishes tense and chalky with a lingering almond element.Alc. 12.5%
