This robust red from New Zealand winemaker Matt Thompson is made by the ‘Ripassoâ€?method. The wine is refermented on the skins of Amarone grapes, giving more body and depth. It’s a big and bold red with lots of sweet, dark fruit, clever use of oak and Amarone’s trademark tang. Perfect with Italian cheeses and risottos.
