Quevedo 2020 Vintage Port A beautifully concentrated, richly expressive Port from one of the Douro’s most exciting producers.

Crafted during one of the most challenging years in recent memory, this 2020 Vintage Port stands out not only for its depth and structure, but for its sheer character and charm. The 2020 harvest was the smallest of the century in the Douro, and with pandemic-related disruptions affecting both production and manpower, many top houses chose not to declare a vintage at all.

Quevedo did �and with spectacular results.

We first tasted this in April 2022 at the Big Fortified Tasting. It was immediately impressive: rich and thrilling, with a dense, concentrated core of fruit. There’s a purity and precision here that reveals itself gradually, supported by a firm structure and beautifully integrated tannins. After a few hours in the glass, the wine opens further â€?showing a fresh, lifted edge and an astonishingly long, focused finish.

This is a Vintage Port to lay down with confidence. With time, its early charm will give way to even greater complexity and elegance.
