Vintage Port is the traditional gift for marking special family occasions, particularly the birth of a child. Vintage Port has an extraordinary ability to age gracefully for 75 years or more, developing from a structured, powerful and robust young wine into a sophisticated and elegant wine in middle age and then on to a delicate and ethereal beauty that will continue for decades.

Given that Port is usually not released until the second spring after a particular vintage is harvested, it was previously difficult to buy a case of Port as a commemorative gift as it would have to be done retrospectively. A few companies are now offering Port Bonds whereby the recipient is guaranteed a case of port two years after the harvest. Quevedo, who have superb vineyards with many microclimates are able to declare a Vintage Port in most years.

When purchase is completed the buyer will be automatically emailed a Port Bond Form. Please fill out the form as the information provided will go into the Port Bond Certificate. We aim to dispatch certificates within 1-2 working days of the order.

The buyer will receive a “Vintage Port Bond Certificateâ€?on purchase, with personalised certificate that can be gifted to the child in their year of birth, or given to a married couple at their wedding, despite the wine still being on the vine.

Oscar will keep you informed as to the production over the intervening period with harvest reports, videos and updates.

The Port is delivered approximately two years after the August/September harvest. Vintage Wine and Port will be in contact to arrange delivery at this time.

Quevedo have a reputation for consistently declaring a Vintage Port. In theexceptional circumstance where there is no Vintage Port produced the purchaser will be given the option of an alternative vintage or a full refund.

We regret that we are only able to supply this product to UK mainland customers. Please note the ports are not available on Next Day Service, but the certificate is if required sooner than 1-2 working day time frame.

Please note that if you have a personal gift message, this will not be included on the certificate, but will be sent out with the physical bottles when they are available for shipping.
