This 2016 Vintage Port Wine is hailed as the Quinta of all Quintas! The Vesuvio’s special reputation for producing outstanding wines goes back into the nineteenth century, when the Viscount of Villa Maior wrote, “All this wine is made scrupulously and to perfection… this Quinta was made as if for princes…”. It is a powerhouse wine with fresh, dark fruit aromas, rounded off with some lovely esteva (rockrose) and violets fragrance. Taught and muscular in the mouth with good grip from the schist tannins. The finish is long and intense with superb structure.
