This is the second wine of the Quinta do Vale Meao estate. Its flagship wine is consistently highly regarded and is regularly critically acclaimed. This Douro estate also makes this less expensive, dry red wine. Like the first wine, it is also a blend of grape varieties that have traditionally been used for Port. Flavours of spicy ripe black fruits and plums intermingle with elegant, fine-grained minerally tannins underlain by notes of hot pebbles and hints of herby leafiness.
