Quintessence2022–ChâteauPesquié

The Chaudière family have developed “Quintessence” since 1990 and chose this name to emphasise the exceptional and concentrated character of this vintage. Powerful and complex, this vintage provides superb balance and pleasant freshness, the fruit of the meticulously chosen terroir. The harvest is pressed and destemmed, followed by three or four weeks’ maceration. It is aged between 12 and 15 months in barrels, 40% of which are of new wood and 60% of wood that is two or three years old.
