This White Rioja from the legendary Bodega is a slightly developed pale gold colour with fresh and aromatic notes. It is complex and highly developed with fruity aromas and bouquets.

93/100 – 2015 was considered a very good vintage, because it was warm, dry and healthy, and the 2015 Viña Gravonia Blanco has a little more alcohol at 13%—only half a degree makes a big difference, and the wine is not as lively as other cooler vintages. For María José López de Heredia, the wine is too alcoholic; the vintage had perfect ripeness and the grapes were super healthy, but the wine lacks the citrus freshness and the vibrancy Gravonia should have. 27,000 bottles produced. 95/100 – Aromas of dried apples, wax, blanched nuts, and lemon curd follow through to a medium to full body with serious density and zesty fruit. Lovely waxy finish. Very tangy and pointed at the end. Classic white Rioja. Aged for about four years in barrel and a few years in bottle. Drink now or hold. – James Suckling
