Sans Composed of 60% rye and 40% bourbon and named after the world’s largest coastal Redwood, this moreish blend has the mouthfeel of a single malt while retaining some of the oiliness and zap of bourbon. Shy at first, over time the flavours unfold in a deliciously sweet whiskey, buttery through the middle stages with hints of popcorn and vanilla wafers; Older material adds depth, creaming up the finish which lingers with more of the same, toasted oak in tow. Besides Redwood Empire’s rye, this sports the best oak-spirit balance and length. You could drink it all night. Matured in Northern California. 45% Alc./Vol.
