To our knowledge, this is the same product as Remy’s standard XO (which has since dropped the word ‘Specialâ€?from its title). Composed of over 400 eaux-de-vie and aged up to 35 years, it’s classified as a Fine Champagne Cognac with fruit sourced from the region’s two best crus: 85% Grande Champagne and 15% Petite Champagne. Being a bottling from yesteryear and considering that Remy’s output has grown around 50% in recent times, there’s a good chance that the liquid inside is of a higher quality than current stocks. 40% Alc./Vol.
