Ridge is one of America’s great wine producers, and this, their Three Valleys Zinfandel-based blend, is an excellent and affordable introduction to their wines. Sourced from ten vineyards across (strangely, given the name) four valleys in Sonoma County, Zinfandel defines the varietal character of the wine while old-vine Carignan offers bright fruit and acidity, with Petite Sirah adding spice, depth of flavour, and appealingly firm tannins.
